Star Lights for September 2010
By Cheryl Niggle
Serendipity Riches, 949-4711
Welcome friends to Autumn! After the tumultuous months just passed, September 2010 is somewhat quieter.
Continuing:
Mercury retrogrades
in Virgo, Jupiter retrogrades in Aries, Saturn is in Libra, Uranus retrogrades
in Aries, Neptune retrogrades in Aquarius, and Pluto retrogrades in Capricorn.
Friday September 3rd - the Moon in Cancer squares Jupiter and Uranus, opposes Pluto, and squares Saturn for a Cardinal Cross. The urge to express yourself takes over and since expressing yourself generally means doing or saying something you aren't supposed to do or say, this is likely to be a time for i8mpulsive action or odd behavior. You might kick over the traces and run wild with whatever ideas you have been holding in. You need to exercise self control to herd your energies into a useful direction. To be at your best, you need to control your magnetism, originality, and creativity.
You might feel a little unhappy with your domestic life or within your personal circle at this time, or you might have to deal with issues that pull you in different directions. Avoid splurging just to relieve your moodiness. Gaining weight is a possibility of this transit – do you need more lbs. or more debt? The best way to find satisfaction is to weed out what is making you unhappy.
You may need to work overtime, yet you are still short of money. You may encounter problems with older folks or authority figures. Rewards for your hard work are unlikely to be forthcoming now. Domestic affairs can be messy now. Treat this period as a time of learning to depend upon yourself.
Your emotional support may be taken away by powerful or manipulative means. This is a time of intense emotional struggles in relationships, particularly with women. You may have be too possessive and not give your partner enough freedom, or you may have problems with others trying to control or manipulate you. You may feel that no one cares or supports you or that you must go it alone. On a tangible level, your home or may need repair. Also, watch out for digestive tract or stomach distress.
Also, Retrograde Mercury (10 Virgo) is in interior conjunction with the Sun, marking the center point of this retrograde period. Based on our knowledge of Mercury’s pathways, the fresh phase begins on September 12th when Mercury at 06 Virgo stations direct. Mercury’s residence in Virgo spotlights the concept of “right timing” that is aligned with the normal rhythms of life.
Saturday September 4th - Venus trines Neptune. You might be able to turn a fantasy into a reality. You can buy a lucky horseshoe or toss a coin in a wishing well, but you may not have to. Luck is probably on your side already, and there'll be no turning it away if you don't let yourself be enticed by something -- or someone -- that's not legit. If it's strictly kapu (taboo), completely forbidden, or something that no one you're related to would even consider for a nanosecond, you'll be game -- if not eager -- to try it.
Wednesday September 8th - The New Moon is at 16 degrees Virgo. This is a great time to look at your day- routine, and see what needs fine-tuning. Can you wind down a bit? Can you eat healthier food? Can you quit eating chocolate-covered male candy (oh wait, that’s me). If there's a stimulating health or wellness routine you've wanted to try, now is a perfect time. Virgo supports a multifaceted cleansing of poisons and toxins in your mental, emotional, and physical systems. Some ideas for the new Moon in Virgo can be a long walk on a sandy beach, a hike on a mountain trail, acupuncture, therapeutic massage, a facial, or getting rid of chemicals in your home. Listen to your body, and reflect upon its subtle messages. This new Moon in Virgo encourages you to get to the bottom of what ails you, even if that means bringing on unsettling change.
The new Moon is a time to put out intentions that can be acted on two weeks from now when the Moon becomes full in radiant Aries. This new Moon is an opportunity to turn away from self-destructive behaviors and a toxic lifestyle. It can bring purification. Ritual is not everyone's cup of tea, but a ceremonial bath might bring a feeling of symbolic meaning to the new Moon. I like to put lavender or rose oil into the bath water.
Venus sashays into Scorpio. Strong feelings and deep needs can intensify desires. You have an intense need for relationships and will be intense once in a relationship. You will want to know your partner's innermost thoughts and yet have a tendency to keep secrets yourself. With Venus in Scorpio, we are called to pay attention to the deepest parts of our being. Scorpio represents the powerful emotions of rage, anger, jealously, sexual intensity, and grief, emotions that most o us find difficult to deal with. Venus in Scorpio asks us to integrate these forbidden areas into our hearts. Use this time to access and express these forces in your relationships. Do you suppress your passion or vitality because of restrictive messages you received during childhood? Do you fear the intensity of your emotions? Venus in Scorpio is a time be to probe your emotional depths and to explore how to access and release more aliveness and vitality in your relationships with others.
Thursday September 9th - Jupiter retrogrades back into Pisces. Expressive influences affect the area of your life associated with Pisces. When Jupiter is retrograde, the emphasis goes to inner awareness and growth, a time to get in touch with personal integrity. Opportunities arise as a result of seeds planted in the past people from the past.
I never fret over Jupiter retrograde, especially in dreamy Pisces. Jupiter Retrograde is spiritual and philosophical, marking a time to rediscover a simpler philosophy that may remind you of a time when you had a better perspective.
It is a time to complete going back to school and finish your education, to take a long distance trip that you have delayed, or to make a connection with long-lost friends. It is a good time to take psychic or psychological courses to gain a better perspective on life. It favors all activities that are altruistic, such as raising money for a good cause or group.
Friday
September 10th - Mars trines Neptune. You may turn an erotic dream
into a reality. Don't waste your time in
surroundings you don't enjoy, or even in the company of those you don't
consider kindred spirits. You need to be in an atmosphere that's conducive to
comfort and security. Find it, and get yourself there immediately. Anything more stressful or taxing than
napping or making love won't appeal to you, so why force yourself? Call the
boss, take the day off, and spoil yourself. Apparently, you need it.
Sunday September 12th - Mercury is stationary
direct at 5 degrees Virgo. Communications become easier. The period of "Mercury
Shadow" extends to the something like three weeks after the direct station,
in this case to 19 degrees of Virgo
on Monday, September 27th
. Keep this in
mind, because experience indicates that the effects of the retro period are
still marked during the shadow phase. Some of the most characteristic irritations
often occur just after Mercury makes the direct station, while he is crawling
forward before picking up speed. Also, Venus sextiles Pluto. For
some, this brings romance. You really
have only two choices now, and either could be satisfying to you. But then, there's almost nothing that will
totally content you these days. In any event, you can either give in a bit to
keep the peace or take over like a dictator. Oh, then there may be a third
alternative, which could be the best.
Sit with your poker face and just wait until everybody's cards are on
the table. You may think you've got flu
symptoms, but it is really more your emotions.
Does the person you're attracted to you see you in the same light or
not?
Monday September 13th - Pluto turns direct at 3 degrees Capricorn. We may soon see new action in matters associated with Capricorn. When Pluto makes a station, its powers of transformation and change are bettered and focused on one particular degree of the zodiac, providing an expanded window of its most severe effects which lasts roughly to January 2011. We’ll begin to see the light at the end of this tunnel. The legendary astrology Marc Edmund Jones defines 3 Capricorn as “The human soul is visualized as a hovering spirit eager and receptive to the lessons to be learned from life.” So, we see Pluto (power ) with Uranus (rebellion, sudden change) at 1 degree of Aries followed by Jupiter (growth) at 3 degrees of Aries, giving us a perpetual energy rush creating changes in the expected patterns with authority limiting and suppressing individuality (Uranus and Jupiter).
Tuesday September 14th - Mars enters Scorpio. Intensity, determination, and resourcefulness rule now. You are a passionate warrior, dramatic, intense, and with strong sexual urges. You are either devotedly spiritual or have gutter level lust. You are also uncompromising – period, exclamation point. Everything you do, you pursue to the max. You either have totally devoted friends or bitter enemies during this transit. Nothing is midway for you. You may be full of anger and hold grudges for weeks, but if you are someone's friend, you will die for them. If you are their enemy, you will stop at nothing to get more than even. You are usually reliable and serious but may make a vengeful opponent if you are crossed. Nothing will deter you from achieving your goals.
Saturday September 18th - Jupiter conjuncts Uranus at 29 degrees Pisces. If a planet is found at 29 degrees of any sign, also known as the Anaretic degree, there can be some real issues with decision-making. We may evaluate and re-evaluate situations before making a move or jump into action without listening to inner guidance. The 29th degree is also associated with a sense of urgency. Even so, as chance meeting could bring opportunities. We live in exciting times! Jupiter augments whatever it touches, and Uranus disperses limits to freedom. Together they propel us forward on a developmental path. This conjunction can accelerate us into new directions. This phase of the series of conjunctions between these two planets causes sparks to fly and imaginations to soar. This is a time of amazing growth for the artist, dreamer, and mystic.
Uranus is an erratic planet that brings life-changing
events. We may call them “good” or “bad,” but really they are just things that
happen. It’s like a CD skipping a groove
and picking back up in another spot on the song. Look to your natal chart to see where
Jupiter-Uranus is likely to bring changes and surprises.
Tuesday September 21st - The Sun opposes Jupiter and Uranus. You
may encounter opposition when you least expect it. Your outstanding performance, though, should cause
your supervisor to have mixed feelings: pride
as well as a bit of healthy self-concern. You'll make them look good, but
you'll make yourself look even better.
What it is that you've been dying to try for what seems like forever?
There's no time like the present to give it a shot, and absolutely nothing you
can't pull off if you set your mind to it. In the meantime, a bit of creative
visualization wouldn't hurt. Forget
caution, discretion, waiting for the best time to act, and striking only when
the iron is heavy. Toss the iron, the time, and whatever else that holds you
back from acting right now. Stick a fork in you ‘cause you're all done, and
it's time to let that fact be known. Wear asbestos overalls when you make the
announcement, though. You're on, you're
off, you're happy, you're sad. This describes your current mood. Rather than
fight it, ride it like a North Shore wave. Let it happen. Resistance is futile,
anyway.
Wednesday September 22nd - The Moon waxes full in Aries. This may be the culmination of a series of events that began in the summertime. Its Native American name is Harvest Moon. Because the Moon rises at this time of year close to sunset, it was used as an early evening light to pick the autumn crops of corn, pumpkins, wild rice, squash, and beans. Sometimes the Moon appears golden or fiery in the sky.
As the first sign of the zodiac, Aries is the exuberant beginning, a chance to take action on goals set during the New Moon in Virgo. This full Moon gives you the courage to go for your goals and hope to believe in a fresh start. With Aries fire gushing through, you can overcome recent difficulties. Like the Fool in the Tarot, Aries sets out on an adventure without old baggage, carrying only a small bundle filled with essentials. This Full Moon in Aries inspires a breathless mood. This Full Moon renews your faith and infuses you with vim and vigor. The dark season ahead for those in the Northern Hemisphere can be productive if you find the inner strength to make needed changes. Under the blanket of darkness, you can do internal house cleaning and take bold steps to reach your goals. By spring, when the Sun is moves into Aries, what you are creating now will be revealed.
The fiery energy of the Aries Full Moon is a gift, allowing us to invest in through our intentions, meditations, and prayers. It represents vivacity and an initiating spirit, and urges you to take action. The heat of fire is healing and this is a great time to sit around a fire with family and friends.
This is also the Autumn Equinox. The Equinoxes are the seasonal time of balance and harmony when the days and nights are the same in duration. During the Equinoxes, the Earth’s auric or magnetic field is affected by the Sun’s alignment with the Earth’s equator. Twice each year, the Sun rises and sets precisely over the equator, tracking exactly due east and west. During the equinox, the length of night and day across the world is nearly, but not completely, equal. This is because the day is slightly longer in places that are further away from the equator, like where I was born in Ohio, because the sun takes longer to rise and set in these locations. Also, the sun takes longer to rise and set farther from the equator because it does not set straight down. Rather, it moves in a horizontal direction. Portals or thresholds into the unknown are more easily accessed during Equinoxes, especially when we willfully engage this energy. Equinoxes are a powerful time for doing ritual activations at sacred sites.
The September equinox is a sign of autumn for those of us in the northern hemisphere. The goddess Persephone returns to the underworld to live with her husband, Hades. Magically, it is a good time to do rituals for protection and security as well as reflect on successes or failures from previous months. Animals associated with the autumnal equinox are dogs, wolves, and raptors. Mythical creatures associated with this time of the year include gnomes, minotaurs, and the sphinx. Pagans celebrate Mabon as one of the eight Sabbats (a celebration based on the cycles of the sun), the second harvest and the beginning of winter preparations. It is the time to respect the impending dark while giving thanks to the sunlight.
Saturday September 25th - The Sun squares Pluto. Your
needs may conflict with those of a more powerful person. Before you decide there's no way you could
ever possibly do what 'they' have asked of you, take a moment or two to think
about exactly what it involves. You may be so frustrated with past issues that
you aren't able to clearly see your present capabilities.
Thursday, September 30th – The Sun conjuncts Saturn. Give
some serious thought to the direction your life is going. We are looking for control over life now and
may see steady accomplishment and may have success in overcoming obstacles if
we work on having good relations with authorities, plus have patience, good
concentration, and mental focus. You
won't be able to avoid assuming responsibilities, no matter how boring, tedious,
or detail-oriented they are. On some perverse level, you may actually enjoy
helping your friend alphabetize their CD collection. Just don't discuss it with
anyone who hasn't known you for at least five years.
ARIES (March 21-April 20): One of your
special projects may hit a speed bump this month but don’t take it personally. Well, okay, go ahead and take it personally! But remember, that life is a lot like traffic
control -- things come in different shapes and sizes, but can be blessings in
disguise. You are experiencing changes on deep levels and this may feel unsettling
to you and your partners. Even so, don’t
let these feelings limit what you can do in the world. It is time to be a light
in the darkness and take the leadership role like a true Ram.
TAURUS (April
21-May 21): If you crave support for your newest schemes,
make your sales pitch this month. Feel
free to display charts, graphs, and forecasts, hand out brochures and free
samples, or put on an entertaining little play. Your inner self is looking for
freedom from the past and is trying to redefine yourself and your sphere of
influence. A conflict comes up because of responsibility you feel to others. Your aptitude to resolve this is directly
affected by people and situations at a distance, which is beyond your ability
to influence, so have faith and deal with what is in front of you.
GEMINI (May
22-June 21: Ultimately, there is a boundary to how
much more you can do for others. The
lunations remind you that if you have only one life to live, it should probably
be your own. Sometimes
your biggest fear is the future, especially if your own needs are not currently
being met. Limiting your interactions with
people in general and focusing more on yourself and those closest to you will
better help you get the best out of your relationships. This month, examine your material beliefs and
your concepts surrounding and acquisition of prosperity and wealth.
CANCER (June
22-July 23): This is a month when if you can think it,
you can achieve it. However, both
intention and manifestation require concentration and application, which can be
tricky to achieve. You struggle to find
your place in the world beyond the job and relationships that you have. Get more focused on recognition and other
signs of achievement from the outside world, and you will make greater strides.
You feel a need to do for others more than for yourself, but don’t ignore your own
wants or you will put aside what you yearn for most. Believe in yourself and
your need for home and family ties will be met.
LEO (July 24-August 22): Let things rewind
gradually by themselves this month. You
don’t have all the facts yet, but you will by month’s end, so just sit tight
and plot your course in October. You are empower when the lunations widen your horizons
and give you a more specific focus. Your scuffle with understanding your
beliefs about life and how to define your personal philosophy continues. You
also continue to take on too much responsibility for others when you should be more
responsible for your own self. Concentrate on handling things in your personal areas
of interest.
VIRGO (August
23-September 23): Current events are illuminating habits that
need to go away and those that need to be revamped and reworked. Clear out clutter and give excess goods to
the Salvation Army or Goodwill to be recycled.
Pay attention, though, that you don’t throw out something valuable by
mistake. You might experience conflict
in some of your values and beliefs about money and finance. Struggle internally with those if you must,
but remember that you can always turn to someone skilled in manifesting
abundance for good advice. Also, look for what you have in common with
others who are prosperous and imitate their moves. Your financial future will free up if you
emulate those who are already where you want to be.
LIBRA (September 24-October
23): A new undertaking or affiliation could prove
to be immensely helpful, but keep your radar out for someone offering free
lunch. The something –for-nothing fairy
is on a break. If you’re not on your toes, free things could end up costing you
a bundle. Instead of struggling with
accepting change, let things go and allow positive movement, especially in
career matters. You can be alternatively empowered and restricted by your emotions
about home and family and your own autonomy – try to tip the scales in favor of
the former. True independence comes from understanding your place and your role
in domestic partners.
SCORPIO (October 23
-November 21): Certain core issues come up now and cramp
your style. If you don’t deal with them
this month, they will haunt you for the rest of the year. For optimum growth, organize your thoughts
and pursue your chosen directions after putting out subtle feelers for input on
your dilemmas. Rather than fighting with
your conscience and inner fears, going within and facing your qualms. If you understand yourself better, you can
empower yourself to act in your own best interests. You can find favor with
family and those nearest and dearest to you, even though you’ll find you don’t
really need their approval.
SAGITTARIUS (November
22-December 21): You can catalog your doubts and fears and “what if!” yourself
to distraction this month. On the other
hand, you can sit back, preferably with a mai-tai, and just chill. The conclusion will likely be the same,
whichever response you choose. Your problem
now with manifestation is that if you are ever going to attain your wishes and satisfy
your needs, you need to take time to seriously visualize your desired outcomes.
I Struggle now promises struggle later. It’s easier when you’re a little buzzed and
watching a great Hawaiian sunset – the inspiration just flows. You block
yourself when you think the power to manifest your desires rests on the money
you need, but truly, “if you do what you love, the money will come.”
CAPRICORN (December
22-January 20): Inconsistencies may rule the month. So if someone says “absolutely,” “no problem,” or “don’t worry about it,”
don’t believe they have your back. You have the power now to make over your world
in your own vision, but you need to rely upon yourself more than the empty
promises of others. Relive your past successes and put those
actions and behaviors into play now. Strive to learn from your history, repeat
it if called for, and to understand what pushed your personal agenda forward in
the old days. The outside world may not enthusiastically embrace your notions,
but if you remember and repeat what used to work, you don’t need the support of
others.
AQUARIUS (January 20-February 18): Who can resist
your charm this month? Only those few not
dazzled by your fancy footwork or your crazy antics. If you feel that you need
a particular arrangement on your own terms, all you have to do is smile and
express what you want with Aquarius sparkle. Done, done, and done! Do not let others’ nays and negativities put
you off. Trust your gut and tap dance for your life. Limitation can come from not rising above the
mundane and not using your special resources. Success comes from letting go and
taking risks. Only you know if you’d
prefer to be doing something else besides pleasing other people.
PISCES (February
20-March 20): Either redouble your efforts or quietly back
off from and enterprise this month, but you can’t just sit around and wait for
the party to start. Process has its
place in the overall scheme of things but sometimes Fish just like to swim n
place and end up going in circles. You challenge
now is to exceed limits or restrictions, not to let them handcuff you. Handcuffs are not always bad, but they should
at least be pink and furry. When others
make demands on you, give in or refuse, as you like. It will not make a real difference in those
who truly care about you.

Have an amazing month! Don't melt. Try to be happy :) and many blessings and love from Cheryl, Toby, and the home boys, Buster and Mickey
Continuing in August: Venus is in Virgo, Jupiter and Uranus are
retrograde in Aries, Neptune is retrograde in Aquarius, Pluto is retrograde in
Capricorn, and Chiron is
retrograde in Aquarius.
The Cardinal Cross is still packing a punch calculated to initiate radical change for evolutionary growth, akin to the planetary energies of change that began the American \French, and Industrial Revolutions. There are also other changes that are not yet in the forefront of our awareness. Stay tuned!
And, the awesome Perseids meteor shower is visible from July 25th
to August 18th. with the peak days being August 10th to
the13th. There will be excellent visibility during the peak nights as long as
the sky is clear. These meteors originate from the dust and debris of the comet
Swift-Tuttle and can reach an amazing 80 meteors an hour at their peak.
Sunday, August 1st – Happy
Lammas or Lughnasadh! This is a neo-pagan or wiccan Sabbat,
the midsummer festival that is one of
the Northern Hemisphere's four great Midseason Festivals in the Wheel of the Year and the life cycle of
Gaia, Mother Earth. It is a cross-quarter holiday halfway between
Litha or the Summer Solstice and Mabon or the Autumnal Equinox. This
is a festival of fruits, vegetables, and grain, love, magic, abundance, communications
with nature (particularly animals), and the start of the harvest season. At
the August cross-quarter, the Sun Goddess is honored through celebrations of
gratitude for the profusion of ripened grain and the Mother’s bounty.
If
anything, the days are hotter now than they were in early summer. These are the
best days for trips to the beach and back yard barbecues. The really good sweet
corn, the kind that melts in your mouth, has just begun to arrive in the supermarkets.
Since the seasonal changes at this time are subtle, it is even more important
that we celebrate the festival. We need to bring the cycles of the Universe
into manifestation within our own minds, by demonstrating what we may not see. In an age when crops can be imported all
year round, we tend to forget just how important this time was to our ancestors
the failure of the harvest meant starvation and death. Early August was a time
to celebrate the fruits of the first harvest and work positive magic for
prosperity and protection.
The mental and emotional
indications of the changing seasons are more obvious now than the physical
ones. The air is filled with anticipation of the coming fall, of the
approaching return to school and of cooler weather to come. It is also a time
of sadness, as the knowledge sets in that the good times of summer will soon be
over. There is a bit of "haste to have fun" before it comes to an
end.
Lammas marks the first harvest when the first grain is gathered,
ground, and baked into bread known as the Lammas loaf, a practice still popular
in many parts of the British Isles. This is a time for the modern kitchen witch
to make magic.
Tuesday August 3rd - Jupiter
squares Pluto. The square
formed once again between Jupiter and Pluto makes us set ourselves up as a law
unto ourselves and so we will find it hard to agree with accepted codes.
Inflexible and overstated, we could prefer to be adventurists or reckless now.
Strangely, though, we may swing between overconfidence and self-doubt. The
challenge here is to learn to profit from our experiences and refrain from
exploiting others for our own benefit.
As we have advised before, read with care.
Wednesday August 4th - Mars opposes Jupiter and squares Pluto.
We'll be fairly bursting at
the seams with restless, outgoing energy. That means if we're doing anything
with money, financial certificates, or even lottery tickets, we should probably
beg a frugal friend to hold the purse-strings.
Even if you're not ordinarily accident-prone, you could be now. We can
cut down on ER visits if we force ourselves to pay attention to what we're
doing. Boredom occurs when we're not
happily occupied. If we really have to spend 40 hours a week of our life making
money to support the rest of it, shouldn't we enjoy it? We can also experience an urge for
dominance and territory. Intense emotional drama is out there if that is what
we need. Emotions are not in tune with the more sensitive and private areas of
life. Push and run the risk some very turbulent emotional and possibly physical
scenes. Ambitions might stir up
opposition and make new enemies if we are not careful. Avoid the temptation to
deal ruthlessly with your enemies. If not prudent, we may come find ourselves
in bad neighborhoods or with bad now and be subject to violent attack or
another type of crime. Watch safety and
health concerns.
Thursday, August 5th – Sun
sextiles Moon, so meetings should go smoothly. We're the very soul of
compromise, cooperation, and hospitality at the moment, so if we have an
apology to deliver or accept, this is the perfect time to do it. Every
encounter we have is destined to be quite pleasant in a variety of interesting
ways. Venus enters Libra, which begins a four-week transit that hits a
home ruin for relationships. We have a
strong need for companionship and require partners to be harmonious, peaceful,
and creative. We enjoy having beautiful possessions. Venus, known as Aphrodite in the Greek
tradition, is very much at home in her special sign that represents balance,
harmony, and beauty. Venus is the goddess who brings the power of the Divine
mother (the moon) into physical manifestation. She is one of the principal
prototypes of the creative feminine energy. When Venus occupies Libra, we have
an opportunity to express our creativity and passion through bringing splendor
and accord into our world. This is a wonderful time to reconnect to the
feminine through art, music, dance, or design. It is also a time for communing
with the harmonious vibrations of the natural world.
Friday
August 7th – This is the second of two powerfully transformative planetary
alignments in the summer of 2010. A massive
Grand Cross involving seven planets -- the
Moon in Cancer, Venus and Mars in Libra,
Jupiter and Uranus in Aries, Saturn in Libra,
and Pluto in Capricorn -- manifests at 1- 5 degrees of Cardinal
signs. And the Sun at 15° Leo
makes stressful aspects to the Grand Cross. We need to remain calm and balanced to deal with these insistently
stressful aspects. In both of the crosses, the planets link together in conjunction, or aspect to each other in harmonious
tension in a 180° opposition or stridently
disharmonious tension in a 90° square. While the Moon always wants peace
and harmony and Venus is usually willing to compromise in order to gain a
benefit, the remaining planets are instinctive rivals (majestic Jupiter vs. his
warrior son Mars and his secretive brother Pluto, and Saturn the teacher vs.
his revolutionary father Uranus). And this time, under the tremendous abrasion
of the moment, even the planets that are usually adept at getting along with
others, like the Moon and Jupiter, can be obstinate, cold-hearted, and
determined not to be cooperative. In
both Crosses, there is sure to be lots of tension, deep distress, and a bounty
of controversy probably resulting in an upheaval in the areas of political,
social, spiritual, and religious matters.
Some old foundations may crumple or be taken over by new ones. Also, in both this summer's Crosses, there is
as a lot of hostility and intensity.
Monday August 9th - Venus opposes Jupiter and squares Pluto. Duties and responsibilities -- how very tedious! This can seem to weigh us down. Do your duty as long and as much as you can, then move along, with no apologies. The fact that we will overdo is a no-brainer. The category we choose, however, is something we have control over. If we have to get out of bed, food and drink might be problematical, but staying in bed or getting to bed early to overindulge in another activity could work nicely. Despite what a somewhat slighted ego is saying, a self-imposed exile from the realm of romance isn't the best bet, not in the long-term, anyway. What we really need is closure -- and maybe a nice massage. We also see a New Moon at 17 degrees of Leo. The Dark Moon conjunct Sun in Leo is one of the power points of the year, as the electrical, male energy of the Sun is in harmony with the Moon's alluring, female energy. This is a new Moon for play, romance, and starring in our own show. Leo is Sun-kissed, with a resilient life-force that's outwardly oriented. When we're feeling physical vitality, we are driven to shine, but in our own unique way. This new Moon brings the focus back to the distinctive Self and personal creative promise that is waiting to be brought to life. In the darkness of the Void or the Dark Moon, we can be intimate with our most brilliant, intense dreams. When we let ourselves be free to express who we really are, it's easier to share the stage with others. This new Moon draws us toward what makes us feel alive, happy and on the sunny side of the street. This is a good time to play ignite the creative fires, stand in your personal power, celebrate your life, have an adventure, be wonderfully confident, into leadership; embrace passionate love and friendship, and LOL (laugh out loud).
Friday August 13th - Uranus retrogrades back
into Pisces. With this
transit, we can have some very bizarre dreams. Some of us may experience
depression and have a really difficult time clearing the fog. Creative projects may seem to come to a
standstill. Uranus in Pisces can give us spiritual vision, though, and that is
what we should strive for, as well as creating a balance of the material and
spiritual in our lives.
Monday, August 16th - Jupiter in
Pisces opposes Saturn in Virgo. We
can suffer because we focus more on our mistakes than on our victories and as a
result have a tough time developing a picture a self-image as successful. There
is no "quick fix", however. Hard work, a positive attitude, and
constancy of effort bring victory. We tend now to teeter between hope,
optimism, and faith or doubt, oppression, and limitation.
Friday August 20th - Venus conjuncts Mars.
Roses. Chocolate.
Champagne. Down comforters that
smell way too sweet and are so snuggly we want to sleep for days. Are we
dreaming? Nope. Just spoiled. Get used to it.
Mercury turns stationary retrograde at 19 degrees Virgo. This
Mercury Retrograde started its approach in shadow August 1st, goes
retrograde today until September 13th and finally leaves shadow on
September 22nd. The possible
benefits are that we have an opportunity to be more methodical with projects
that we’ve already launched and to complete and review details, put things in
order, and catch up on old paperwork. It is an excellent time to review old,
unfinished problems. Think of it as a
time for re-evaluation and maintenance and a second chance to put affairs in
order. It is not a good time, however,
to get married or otherwise make a roommate or romantic commitment or to sign
contracts. There could be misunderstandings or even an avoidance of dealing
straightforwardly with things, particularly those of a legal nature.
Monday, August 23rd - the
Sun enters Virgo and a new
astrological month commences.\
People are more analytical and critical under this sun. We are practical to a fault now,
discriminating, and a little fussy. When
the Sun is in Virgo, details can take on enormous significance. The Virgo Sun
sharpen s our logic and our sense of stability and value. Only the best will do
right now -- from clothing to food to communications. Anything that seems low in value will fall by
the wayside. This earthy sign also connects us to our physical selves through a
keen awareness of health and hygiene as well as a wholehearted sensuality.
Virgo energy motivates us to enforce order onto whatever chaos the past months
may have inflicted. Once comfortable with the nervous tension that this
astrological influence can create, there is pleasure to be felt at this
time. This is a good time for sitting
down and focusing on our most meticulous and detail-oriented tasks and
responsibilities, taking a more active interest in health matters, like
quitting smoking or starting a new fitness routines, and enjoying
detail-oriented games and crafts.
Tuesday, August 24th – Full Moon in Pisces/Virgo. This month, we enjoy an "in-between” energy in which spiritual Piscean ocean waters meet the sculpted landscape of Virgo. This is water and earth, change and stability, and practical visions. These mutable signs are water and earth and both elements and signs are considered feminine. Call upon the Goddess this Full Moon and ask for a dream, a vision, or an illumination. This is a moon to be receptive rather than active. Listen to all of your senses, including the 6th one, to be open to cosmic wisdom. When we're rigid in our intellect or character, we don't move in step with universal or natural rhythms. This Pisces/Virgo Full Moon inspires us to be healers of ourselves and others. Empathy and good judgment are principles to nurture now.
Thursday August 26th - The Sun trines Pluto. Let’s all sit tight, smile sweetly, and keep quiet. That way, we'll be
able to accomplish far more now than anyone who tries to storm the borders of
our professional circles. We'll be much
better off if we play down the sensuality that's going to be oozing out of our
veins than if we try to bring it out for the public. While we're planning our
wardrobe, think of what we'd consider alluring (yet discreet), and dress
appropriately. We'll make connections
easily with others -- the kind of connections that can turn into long-lasting
relationships. Even if it's not officially a party, there's no time like the
present to start mixing and mingling.
You'll remember one particular thing about this moment in time: that
someone tried to play you, but you just wouldn't have it. This means you'll
have to keep your shields up, be alert, and be ready to use your 'stun and
disarm' glance on intruders at a moment's notice.
Sunday August 29th - the Sun, the Moon, and Pluto form an earthy grand trine. Give serious thought to a career or job move. This major figure is good for business, making money, and financial security. Life and image can be improved by making strategic, pro-active moves.
ARIES (March
21-April 20): Rams and Ewes, at this point, knowing what
you want is much more important than knowing exactly how to get it. If you work on identifying your wishes,
you’ll be shown the ways to attain them.
You need stamina now, so eat well and get your rest so you can take bold
action when you need to. This can be a
month of major changes in all areas of your life. You have a lot to give to
others, but be careful not to waste your energy on those resource mooches that
you for granted. The New Moon of August
9th will be relatively positive for you, but your choices and timing
could be awkward. The Full Moon of August 24th will be fairly
uneventful if you refrain from complaining.
TAURUS (April
21-May 21): Bulls and Beautiful Cows, Make a determined
attempt not to estrange the very supporters you’ll need on your side to achieve
your intentions this month. Right now,
your best tactic is to ignore their shortcomings, or at least not call their
attention to them. Every now and then,
there is a gap between your understanding of a situation and the facts of the
matter. After the middle of the month, especially, you have to make certain
that your communications do not raise tension with a loved one. The New Moon of August 9th could stress
you out, and your expectations may be different from reality. Keep it simple!
The Full Moon of August 24th should positive, though, if you don’t
take the feelings or promises of others seriously.
GEMINI (May
22-June 21): Twins -- August is all about inner harmony
for you. Aspects now ask you how you can
best cash in on your special talents and abilities. When you’re daydreaming, remember that you
are who you are and you do what you do, and that’s all good. Don’t let anyone rain on your parade,
especially yourself. You need candles
and warm lights and wine at home now, and time with good friends and family. It
is important to let your guard down emotionally so you can relate to these
special folk. However, do not take any
financial risks this month. The New Moon
of August 9th is beneficial for you but speak directly and don’t
criticize. The Full Moon of August 24th could be a stressor. Don’t
trust your intuition as your timing is skewed.
CANCER (June
22-July 23): If some people in your social circle have
already made up their minds now, Crabs, respect their decisions and move
on. If you ignore their issues, you’ll
have some explaining and regretting to do as a result. Besides, travel is very much in your head now
and it would do you a world of good to take an extended break from routine this
month. Someone really close to you may
feel that you are being judgmental of them, so it is important to let him know
that you want the best for them and are happy for them. The New Moon of August 9th will be
pretty unimportant for you. Be patient and don’t act on impulse. The Full Moon
of August 24th should be cool for Cancers. Remember – it’s mind over
matter.
LEO (July
24-August 22): Screeeech!
That’s the sound of Mercury going retrograde. Since this has an effect on your daily
routines, short trips, and social engagement, plan for quick changes and
rescheduling of plans this month. This
can be an emotional and frustrating time for you big Cats. It may be that someone close to you is being
deliberately difficult no matter what you do or say. In the positive sense, you
have a lot of random luck on your side in the areas of commerce and finance. Be
ready to recognize and take an opportunity that pops up unexpectedly. The New Moon of August 9th will be most
noteworthy and perceptive for you. Count your blessings. The Full Moon of August
24th will be of less impact but your charisma is captivating so
strut your stuff.
VIRGO (August
23-September 23): A random incident could launch a social or
career affair into a whole new universe this month. This notice should control the shock and awe
you might otherwise go through with this breakthrough. You might discover
alternative cures to your problems or fresh directions and paths. You could
find a mentor, teacher, or guide, for instance. Moneywise, Virgins, this is the
highlight of the year for you and it is vital that you have time and energy to
give. Treat a friend to dinner for the support he has given you recently. The New Moon of August 9thh will
be somewhat uneventful one for you. Don’t push the river -- just go with the
current. The Full Moon of August 24th could be tense for you.
Conflicts can come up quickly so listen to your head, not your heart.
LIBRA (September
24-October 23): The viability of your social activities and
everyday routines is underscored this month, Lovers. As the invites flood in, ask yourself what
the engagements add to your status and well being before responding. Be especially careful not to overbook –
remember that Mr. Mercury Retrograde plays tricks on our commitments. You should already know where you are in life
at the moment and how to get where you want to go. It is should also be easy to
achieve your goals with discipline and dedication, your keys to success this
August. The New Moon of August 9th
will be cool for you. Emphasize the positive and spread that Libran charm! Good
luck is right there for you. The Full Moon of August 24th will be pretty
boring one. Stay neutral and help keep the peace.
SCORPIO (October
23 -November 21): Many of the alternatives that are now
presenting themselves have merit as well as glitter. However, Mercury Retrograde suggests that you
examine all of them very closely to make sure they are as good as advertised
and that your final choices will suit your fancy once you’ve climbed on
board. Planetary influences positively
influence your communication skills now, Eagles and Scorpions. You can use this
to your advantage when it comes to putting an end to a seemingly endless debate
between relatives. You might feel romantic around the end of the month and you
have the impulse to act on your lusty urges.
The New Moon of August 9th will be demanding for you. Some of
what glitters is actually gold. The Full Moon of August 24th will be
a helpful for you. Relax and enjoy your increasing popularity.
SAGITTARIUS (November
22-December 21): Instead of sticking to your original plans, Archers,
give recommendations from others a fair hearing. You may think it is a just a fluke that
certain proposals are coming in now.
This month’s planetary alliances say otherwise. You are safe getting
excited over a pet project now, but avoid breaking a promise to someone whose
heart you hold in your hand, Keep your word, keep your friend. The last week of
the month can bring unanticipated good fortune, so don’t waste time grabbing at
the brass ring. The New Moon of August 9th will be a happy time for you,
so enjoy your prosperity. The Full Moon of August 24th, however, could
make you testy. Keep your head down and don’t try to explain your actions.
CAPRICORN (December
22-January 20): Granted, Goats, your reasons for not making
long-awaited changes are somewhat credible.
But, the planetary interaction this month is about to eclipse your
rationales. This leaves you with scant
options but to plunge forward. You are
really relaxed at the beginning of the month and may feel like taking a risk
with a new relationship. Think twice, or even thrice, as your new heart
interest may not be what he or she seems. Finances should improve this month,
and you should honestly consider taking a vacation and spending of your
newly-found loot. The New Moon of August
9th is pretty much uneventful for you. Don’t force issues, though. The Full Moon of August
24th will be a hectic, so avoid
loud-mouths and pushy people!
Aquarius (January 22-Febrary 18):
Matters of home, hearth, and family are underscored this August, Water
Bearers. Pleasing everybody is tough
(and as Ricky Nelson used to sing, “So you got to please yourself.”) and you’ll
feel fabulous only when you fulfill your own needs rather than those of
others. Now is the time to put a new
plan in action, especially when it connects to your professional aspirations and
desires. Relationships may crumble, but if they are prepared to take second
place to your ambitions, your problems will quickly disappear. The New Moon of August
9th will be a traumatic for you. You usually can see things coming,
but your ESP vision is off right now. The Full Moon of August 24th
will be upbeat. Enjoy yourself and share the sweet vibrations.
PISCES (February
20-March 20): Fishes let a pending matter play itself
out. As much as you love to know
everything that is going on behind the scenes, information that you don’t yet
have, but will have by month’s end, will be useful in your planning
efforts. You feel need for a change of
scenery these days. Take a short breather or a quick trip to the country. It will give you a chance to showcase your artist
skills and spend some quality face time with a valued friend. Money matters should
be rewarding and you can both spend a little and add some to your nest egg. The
New Moon of August 9th should be a day at the beach. The Full Moon
of August 24th will bring some tension your way. Don’ try to be a
peacemaker.

2010:
The Year of the Metal White Tiger
By Cheryl Niggle, Serendipity Riches
2/14/2010 - 2/02/2011
2010 is the Year of Tiger and it will arrive on February 14, 2010. Many people are eager to know if they will have better luck in the coming year than in 2009. Here, we use Chinese Astrology’s Five Elements (Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth) to divine fortunes in 2010.
Tiger Gold is related to metal and money. People who want wealth will say that 2010 is a Golden Tiger year. In the Five Elements, though, the color representing metal is corresponds to the symbol for jinx in China and some might consider that 2010 White Tiger is a bad year, but I don’t subscribe to that theory.
February 14, 2010, is
the first day of the lunar New Year and is also Valentine's Day, so it is a day
on which the West celebrates as a day a day of love and romance. To the
Chinese, it is the start of the Tiger Year. The Tiger is the third sign
in the cycle of the Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animal
signs. It is a sign of bravery and courage. This fearless, fiery feline
is honored by the ancient Chinese as the sign that wards off the three main calamities
of a household: fire, filchers, and phantasms. On New Year's Day itself,
it is auspicious to celebrate, to be happy, to smile, and to abstain from frowning,
arguing, or criticizing others.

What is a Tiger?
The Tiger is one of the
most stunningly gorgeous critters on earth, dreaded and venerated in equal
measure. It is featured in many Asian cultures as a manifestation of
daring, muscle, fury, and monarchs. In the area of Feng Shui, the White Tiger is one of
the four celestial creatures, the other three being the Green Dragon, the Red
Phoenix, and the Black Tortoise. The Tiger symbolizes the female Yin energy as opposed to the
male Yang energy of
the Dragon. The ancient Chinese believe that the markings on the forehead
of tigers resemble the Chinese character for "Wang", or
King/Ruler. In Imperial China, where the dragon is the symbol of the
emperors, the tiger is the military emblem of the highest supreme commanders of
the army. It symbolizes fearlessness and
victory. The Tiger also represents earth while the dragon represents
Heaven. The powerful and stealthy dexterity of the Tiger inspire the
movements of some martial arts masters.
The Sign of the Tiger
Tigers are courageous,
active, and self-confident, as well as optimistic, passionate, and
self-determining. They are also rebellious, energetic, capricious, and
quick tempered. Tigers can be affectionate but as anyone who has worked
in a zoo, as I have, quickly learned, you don’t get in their territory.
The Tiger is a natural born leader and stands for power, passion, and boldness.
People born in the Year
of the Tiger are usually popular because of their endearing personalities.
They like water but hate to sail, and are often over-achievers. Criticism
or judgments from loved ones can bring out a negative Tiger reaction.
Tigers are hugely competitive
and love a challenge. They may seem to be cool and collected but are so unpredictable
that it is really stupid to underestimate their
reactions. Natural leaders, they have an indelible sense of
their own dignity. They are intelligent, vigilant, and visionary. Excellent
planners and strategists, they often have a hidden agenda. As long as
they do not tempt fate too often and keep their impetuous side in check, they
will enjoy success and happiness.
People born in
the Year of the Tiger are direct and candid in nature. They will
never give up, no matter how dismal the outlook. They are also suspicious
and sometimes hurried in their actions. Tigers should take life a
little easier and to pace themselves to keep active longer and to prevent periodic
burnout. They are blessed with elasticity and usually recover quickly
from illness or disease.
Tiger are gentle and
full of empathy, consideration, and sympathy. They are usually kind, friendly,
love babies and youngsters, and things that stimulate their imagination. At
times, they can be obstinate and egotistical. As a rule, those born in
the Year of the Tiger are playful, enthusiastic, adventuresome, and mercurial.
Tigers take pride in
being special, different than others, and original. Their homes are showplaces,
often filled with exotic materials. They are quick learners, rise to
challenges, and usually like to work alone. They may change professions
often because they get bored easily. They perform best when working
towards positions of power, prestige, and influence. They spend money easily
as well as share generously.
It is interesting that
their two main features are rashness and hesitation, a pair of contradictions. If
they know how to relax and do things according to the situation, they can
become quite successful.

What Should We Expect
This Year?
In this Year of the
Tiger, theatrics, drama, change, and travel are keywords. Regrettably, we may see more global conflicts
and disasters. New inventions and medical and technological advances Darn, I
don’t eve n have Twitter year. Everything will in a New York minute and in a
dramatic fashion.
The Rat
Forecast for 2010
Rats mat be exhausted after a tumultuous
2009, which just saw them keeping their heads above water this year will be
fast-paced but productive, although Rats might like a slower pace. It s vital
tat tey7 go with the flow and take what comes in stride. Travel s on the horizon in 2010. Professional and career choices can be very good this year,
as could romantic opportunities in the summertime. Be extra considerate and caring with loved
ones throughout the year.
The Ox Forecast for 2010
Oxen like to plan so
that everything comes together at the designated time. This is too bad because this year will be
very unpredictable and at a lightening speed for Oxen to truly feel
comfortable. They are best advised to go
with the flow and see change as a good thing, not a potential disaster. Pick up a hobby or pastime in order to spend
time artistically and productively.
Redecorate or renovate the home environment to make a great little rat’s
nest for yourself.
The Tiger Forecast for 2010
This is your year, O
Striped One! It holds wonderful promise,
with exhilarating professional and personal developments abounding. Leave the past 2009 disappointments behind
and look to the exciting future.
Financially, the sky is the limit, so keep your eyes open for new and
renewed opportunities for monetary success.
Also, be at your most creative in dreaming up money-making ideas, but
take your time in investing rather than rushing head-long into a project or
venture. If you’re looking for
friendship or even romance, both could appear on your agenda during this, your
special year.
The Rabbit Forecast for 2010
Job, career, and
professional status and upgrades are on the rabbit’s agenda this year. A promotion and/or bonus may come out of the
blue. Travel is possible, too, both for work-related reasons and for personal
pleasure. Tiger’s quickness may make you
tired and fuzzy-headed this year, so pace yourself to avoid exhaustion or poor
health. Current living changes may seem
inevitable and even undesirable, but chances are you will be moving to a better
and more comfortable environment.
Friends may need extra-special care during this time, so see how you can
accommodate them.
The Dragon Forecast for 2010
Dragons can keep up
easily with the Tiger’s speed, so this should be a time of expansion,
opportunities, and openings that are too good to pass up. Keep your little lizard eyes wide open!
Working well with others is a key theme this year, so be open to taking on a
work partner or investor if that helps a venture come to fruition. Financial security and monetary increases
should be coming up roses this year so after you have saved a reasonable amount
for a rainy day, use the overflow to do something nice for yourself and a
special someone. Curb impulse buys,
though, or you could be breathing fire on credit card companies that raise your
interest rates.
The Snake Forecast for 2010
Snakes are slow,
silent, and steady and may get swept away in the torrent of Tiger speed. So what?
The rapid ride could be exhilarating.
Adapt and try to keep up.
Careerwise, you will have some competition so you need to be ready to
coil and strike on a moment’s notice.
Competition aside, teamwork with co-workers will pay off handsomely. Time and energy focused on loved ones and
family situations will also be justly rewarded.
The second half of the year is excellent for solo snakes to hook up with
a special romantic partner.
The Horse Forecast for 2010
Stimulating! Energetic! Fast-paced! Horses will be full gallop this year. On the domestic scene, people will be coming
and going in the house and you’ll rarely know who you’re sitting down to
breakfast with. Socially, you’ll be in
high demand for parties, events, and get-togethers. Go to the parties and barbeques and
tailgates, to be sure, but keep an eye on your diet and make sure you get
plenty of rest in between managing your incredible social calendar. Follow up on all new job leads when you hear
about them. Even if you’re not really
looking for a new work place, one of these might just pan out as the answer to
your secret desire as well as provide more financial security.
The Goat
Forecast for 2010
Goat likes to be balanced and a Tiger Year is
good for this because Goat will see previously-hidden strengths and talents
that he didn’t know he possessed. Goat
will reach new heights and expressions of artistry and creativity. Opportunities for new ventures and increased
job possibilities are on deck for this year.
In employment areas, life may be stifling as the year dawns but
summertime will bring new chances for advancement either on the current work
scene or in a brand new one -- and with this, financial upgrades are not far
behind. As of autumn, your career
prospects are sizzling! This year is not good for taking monetary risks, but
excellent for accruing funds.
The Rooster
Forecast for 2010
Rooster needs to stay calm, confident,
watchful, and adaptable to make the best of this Tiger year. With exertion of these qualities, Rooster
will become smarter, tougher, and truly successful by 2011. He will be in demand for his perceptive
guidance and knowledge both at work and in his personal life. This might be a year in which Rooster changes
not only his place of work but perhaps his profession itself, and he may decide
to go for higher education to support this change of commercial venture. Be careful not to overload the plate as a
result of ambition or poor health or exhaustion could result.
The Dog
Forecast for 2010
Tiger is an excellent year for the Dog to get
ahead, and he should see a momentous enhancement in fortune. He should resolve to rid himself of old
baggage that he is dragging along, and move forward with confidence and
optimism. Be sure to seek good
counseling from someone respected, and take pains not to focus on negativity
and problems, but rather on positive solutions.
This is the Dog’s year to excel, and he will find it easy to make solid
and supportive new personal companions and business colleagues. The Dog needs to keep his eyes and ears open
for potentially good deals that will increase his status and fill his pockets.
The Pig
Forecast for 2010
The Pig may feel some financial anxiety this
year but with sensible budgeting and spending, he should be able to keep his
monetary footing. In this Tiger year,
the Pig needs to be less gullible and more circumspect with people, especially
with those he doesn’t know well – Mom always warned us with the old line, “If
it looks too good to be true, it is too really good to be true.” The last six
months of the year will be very social with parties and fun get-togethers
galore. Take the time to relax and
recharge the batteries.
The Monkey
Forecast for 2010
The Monkey’s dynamic nature resonates well with
the energy of the white Tiger year – but he needs to pace himself or he could
crash and burn. Changes in his job area
could surprise him near the start of the year, but by calmly flexible, he
should emerge a winner in the office olympics. He is well advised to take a
well-deserved breather around mid-year as he needs a break from work pressure.
Romantic encounters should please both single primates as well as married
ones. Monkeys will appreciate the
support this year from loved ones and friends.
And for the Western Zodiac…
Aries, this year of the Tiger oversees a transitory period, part of an
ongoing long journey to more awareness and success. The white Tiger year
guarantees more accomplishment than year.
Even so, don't get your hopes up that you can coast and still make
headway. Your full achievements will
come from setting goals and seeing them through with persistence, self-control,
self- restraint, and conscientiousness. International business travel and communication
with foreign partners will be auspicious. This year, Aries should look to upgrading
professional performance. The fall and winter months are best for learning new
skills and gaining more formal knowledge.
Taurus should
be happily occupied mostly with home, family, and close relatives. This year,
you might it prudent to re-establish good relations and resolve issues with those
you’ve had a falling out. A rift with family, especially with parents or other
authority figures is possible, especially from summer on. This will not be
serious if you are conciliatory and flexible.
An inheritance or legacy may be possible if you play your cards right.
You should also be lucky in love as well as monetary fortune this year. Repairs
or renovation in your residence might be in order, but be safe by hiring
professionals rather relying on a fly-by-night, under-the-table
contractor.
Gemini
might find usual events more
private and scripted his year than last, but the Tiger year is great for
meditation, inward thought, and restraint of impulses. So non-typical of bright and effervescent
Twins. Your contacts will be restricted
primarily to business connections rather than social ones. Long-distance travel
may not bring you the pleasure it usually does, but outings closer to home are
very promising. A Tiger year is a marvelous opportunity to ponder your future
and put your thoughts and sentiments in order.
Cancer will be even more involved in domestic matters in this year of the
Tiger, even to the point of taking over budgeting and bookkeeping chores. Cancer is known as a generous sign, but you
might want to restrict the free-handedness a bit in order to conserve money for
a new venture or for unexpected home necessities. It is good to set aside a little something for
a rainy day, even if we’re having a drought in Hawaii. You might also try harder keep to a diet,
cleanse their innards, and perhaps drop a few unwanted pounds.
Leo might find a peasant turnaround from last year, and the contented and
welcome following seas bode well for happiness and success. You’ll find some great opportunities to show
off your skills and talents, even if they have been dormant for some time. Don’t be surprised when a sudden run of good luck
comes up – just enjoy it. You might even
have some gambling luck, perhaps at a lottery or roulette. You might also find some new pals or increase
your circle of associates. And, a
devoted, adoring partner might worm his or her way into your heart, too.
Virgo carries a weighty workload in this year of the Tiger, and your professional
responsibilities may cause disputes with neglected family members. While you
are slaving away to keep family members in a financially secure environment,
your overexertion may not be appreciated if it keeps you out of the house too
much. If you sense that a change of
pace would still benefit your finances and domestic relationships, use your
ability of discernment to smooth out disputes in your life.
Libra will have a great chance to organize plans and projects in this New
Year. Among the striking options will be
some soul- stimulating ones -- and they are calling your name. Every move should be thought over carefully
and proceeded with systematically, but those are commonplace actions for your
logical self. You’re pretty much on your
own this year, too. As much as you like to have harmonious relations, those
around you may have left their book on etiquette in the car when they come to
see you. Try your best to forgive
them. It’s really no big whoop, plus
you’ll get bonus points for letting them slide.
Scorpio will spend most of the white Tiger year making money
hand over fist. Follow your inner guidance on how handle the bunch of personal
and professional big breaks that are flying through your window now. And remember – no gamble, no glory. Your income and net worth will be on the rise
until at least November. Your artistry in the fields of writing and music
should be markedly more prominent this year, too, and this promises self-satisfaction
as well as possible success with an admiring audience. You may want to allocate some time to attain
more education, perhaps in the form of an art or crafts class. Find out how best to work around someone
else’s restrictions on you so you have time for all of your entertaining
projects.
Sagittarius will see career or
business aspirations on the rise when the Tiger year brings a huge energetic
splash to his life. You will be
confident in your abilities and have an insatiable drive to keep active. Make sure that you and partners pace
yourself, though, and you’ll have get-up-ad-go when they are glassy-eyed and
slumped over their keyboards at 2:00 AM.
Everything you attempt to do should turn out well, even without their
help. Considering moving your job to a different city with tempting career
perspectives might be a good move, too.
The commute will be longer, true, but the rewards will speak for
themselves.
Capricorn needs to make sure all bases are covered this feline
year. Before too many of the New Year’s
days are past, you might run into a deadline crunch time when that person you
have been relying upon is dependable only in their undependability. Someone you trust may not be exactly as they
present to be, but don’t their errors or limitations unduly affect you. You
have already accomplished most of the goals you set in 2009. You don’t want to lose momentum so you need
to keep your focus and not be distracted by trying to clean up this other
person’s mess. There may be new job and
search for new sources of income in store, too, and you should have no trouble
finding fresh fields of endeavor. Always
cautious, Caps can achieve reasonable income upgrades and cost savings through
painstaking planning and execution of goals.
Aquarius can come to resolution on a cycle of transformation that
has been going on in stages for several years. Focus your energy on those
ventures that genuinely enthuse you and you alone. You’ve been a silver medalist for years
because you’ve been busy helping others at your expense, but this is your
gold-medal year and your attention needs to be on what is best for you. Attempting to be all things to all people
doesn’t work when you need to cross the finish line first. You may end up becoming a political activist
or event work your way into top management in your company with the help of mentors
in high positions.
