Queen of the Prairie is a tall-growing perennial that frequents the upper mid-west. It is primarily used as a decorative plant and grows best with lots of moisture in soil that has a high clay content. Salicylic acid, which is found in Queen of the Prairie is thought to be the precursor to aspirin, which is a well known pain reliever.
